With plenty of pizza provided by the club and appetizers and desserts contributed by the members. Our hosts, Sheri Perkins and Dennis Cole, along with Terry and Tony Kondoleon, greeted our members and provided fun activities and decorations. The Midwesterners dressed in the colors and t-shirts honoring their favorite teams, while the Ohio State-Wisconsin game was on the television in the Canterbury and Nottingham Rooms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A highlight of the event was our very own game show, hosted by Mike Cunningham. The three-member panel (Tom Bellehumeur, Dennis Cole, and Glenda Schmit) needed to determine which of our three contestants (Ron Hand, Tony Kondoleon, or Curt Johnson) had been the real \u201cGolden Gopher\u201d mascot from the University of Minnesota. We won&#8217;t tell you here, but you can ask any member who was in attendance OR you\u2019ll find him instructing, along with his wife, Wendy, in one of their ballroom dance classes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We appreciate our photographer, Marian Knorr, for providing fun and creative photos for this article and our website, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/krmidwest.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KRMidwest.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A special Thank You to our \u201cnewish\u201d member, Margie Kramer, who donned the special Midwest Club \u201ccafeteria lady\u201d green apron and eagerly gathered up all our plates and forks and washed them right there in the clubhouse\u2019s kitchen sink.
